Top 5 Sundays is a weekly meme hosted by Larissa over at Larissas Life.com!
This week is the top 5 Best books and best authors of 2011!
So in no particular order...
She has always been one of my all time FAVOURITE authors and her most recent book Clockwork Prince was absolutely outstanding, proving that she should be on this list.
Her début book Divergent was one of my favourite books with such a beautiful concept. Her style of writing is marvellous and her book has gained well deserved success.
I know that her book The Hunger Games was released back in 2008 but I read it early this year. One of the best books I've ever read which really introduced me to the wonderful dystopian genre.
Her most recent book, Last Breath, was flawless. There was a certain chapter that was so tense and beautifully written that I was actually SHAKING! A brilliant author.
I hate to break the all womens top 5 this week but this author deserves a mention. I (being the nerdy girl I am) won a £10 voucher to spend in WH Smith for not being late to school. I was just about to go to Turkey so I bought a book. Namely, The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This beautiful trilogy made me stop and think. Its riddles frustrated me and this epic series is a MUST READ.
Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
This heartbreaking book made me actually CRY! I cried. Brilliant book.
Divergent by Veronica Roth
As I said in the best author section above, this début was beautifully executed and a thrill to read.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.
I know this was released in 2008 but I read it this year and was absolutely blown away by this fantastic concept. This really made me love the dystopian genre.
Last Breath by Rachel Caine
This book had me shaking in anticipation and dread of what was going to happen to ***. Now, you'll have to read it to find out who, won't you? *evil grin*
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
As I said before this thought-provoking trilogy had me on the edge of my seat in pure excitement, dread and fear. Marvellous book.
What do you think of these books or do you have a top 5 of your own? Drop me a comment!
Thanks for reading!
